Research field

During my undergraduate, I studied ion implantation in semiconductors in development of dilute magnetic semiconductors (DMS).

My master's thesis on "Growth and Study of Quantum-Dots Infrared Photodetectors Coupled with Parabolic Quantum Wells" was under the orientation of Mauricio Pamplona Pires and Patrícia Lustosa de Souza. During that time, I also analyzed the behavior of the magnetization of a DMS under influence of ion irradiation.

My PhD thesis, under orientation of Mauricio Pamplona Pires and Patrícia Lustosa de Souza, was on "Theoretical and experimental investigation on the use of superlattices in mid infrared photodetectors based on quantum wells" where I studied artificial defects on a superlattice to control the electronic states in the continuum.

As a postdoc at Princeton University, I specialized on superlattices based on III-V semiconductors to develop Quantum Well Infrared Photodetectors (QWIPs) with confined states in the continuum and Quantum Cascade Detectors (QCD).
