I have been working with physical cosmology, somewhat driven by the flood of new high-quality observational data being delivered; more specifically, I am particularly interested in: (a) the physics of type Ia supernovae (from raw data to theoretical model constraints; K-correction, extinction and peculiar velocities; light-curve fitters; systematic effects and statistical procedures in general), (b) redshift space distortions (BAO's, Kaiser effect, "fingers of God", etc), (c) the physics of cosmic background radiation generation and propagation. The common ground for all these topics is the issue of statistical analysis and computational processing of the data.

I have also worked with, and still pay attention to, the more formal and abstract properties of space-time theories of gravitation, mainly general relativity; more specifically, I have dealt with: (a) covariant formulation of physical laws with the use of natural "time" and "spatial" quantities relative to any frame of reference in an arbitrary space-time, (b) relativistic thermodynamics (causal second-order models, phenomenological particle production), and (c) geometrical properties of exact solutions of Einstein's field equations (geodesics, causality, symmetries, general physical interpretation).
